Shanti, Anu, and Azeeza, are women who have moved from rural to urban India. Shanti has lost her husband, Azeeza and Anu ran away from theirs. Having left their village homes, they have created a space for themselves in the slum settlements of Delhi. All 3 women work, run their households and mind their children single handedly.
As they talk about themselves, their relationships, their trials and tribulations, what surfaces is their exceptional courage, wry humour, and determination to win through.
All three of them have found support and encouragement from the Women's Feminist Collective, Jagori .
